Meg absolutely loves people and was initially drawn towards a degree in psychology to be able to understand human behavior better and help people through difficult times in life. She obtained her BA in Psychology from UW-Stout but felt like she needed a career that also exercised her creativity. As a result, Meg returned to school to pursue her cosmetology license. She has since found incredible value in combining both educational pathways to provide her clients with exactly what they're looking for when it comes to their hair.
A lifelong beauty addict, Meg's interests extend beyond just the hair industry. While still in cosmetology school, she accepted a position with Sephora. Meg found this experience indispensable as it gave her a broader range of exposure to makeup, skincare, and body care. Her time at Sephora allowed her to work with store guests one-on-one to offer solutions to their beauty concerns. She attributes her skill of being able to truly listen to clients about what they want for their hair and transform their words into results to this time at Sephora.
Meg's favorite services are start-to-finish transformations during which she gets to partner with clients as they progressively go from dark to light or short to long. She knows these processes can take patience and time, and she likes coaching her clients through the transitions. She is steadfast in her belief that if a client willing to invest in a transformation, they should also invest in excellent hair care to maintain it. In turn, Meg is well versed in the products Saylon Seven carries and matching clients and their hair with ideal care to make the color and style last.
Meg's first encounter with Saylon Seven was when her cosmetology class toured the salon. She loved the creative and unique environment of Saylon Seven and could see herself working there. Since that time, Meg has fallen in love with the style philosophy of Saylon Seven and the strong educational emphasis on staying current with the latest styles and trends. Beyond attending the learning opportunities offered in the salon, Meg is continually prowling social media for style inspiration and online classes.
Incredibly friendly, relaxed, and realistic are words that clients commonly use to describe Meg. Although she loves style transformations, she is also candid about what color and cut she thinks may or may not look good. Her goal is to adopt the latest trends and styles to make them look great on her clients, not just replicate a picture from a magazine.
When she is outside of the salon, Meg enjoys spending time with friends, family, and animals. She is a total animal lover and relishes talking to clients about their fur babies!
